El que no sé és com els algorians (seguidors de Al-Gore) no han proposat encara eliminar-los.
Avui he llegit un article publicat a una interessant web/blog, I Love Carbon Dioxide, que espere que no llegeixen els més extremistes (pel bé dels tèrmits). Explica entre d’altres coses que els tèrmits emiteixen, o més bé emitien l’any 1982, 10 vegades la quantitat de CO2 que totes les indústries i els automòbils del planeta, tal com la revista Science publicà en el seu número de (Nov. 5, 1982). Considerant que les emissions antropogèniques han augmentat el 50% des d’aquella data, és segur que les emissions d’aquests isòpters segueix sent major a l’aportació humana.
De fet el 97% de les emissions de diòxid de carboni a l’atmosfera son d’origen natural. Això ens deixa als humans en un trist 3%. Si és que som insignificants, per més que ens pensem que podem dominar el clima.
I a part dels tèrmits, alguns exemples més de altres emissors de CO2. Per exemple els aiguamolls emiteixen més CO2 que totes les activitats humanes juntes, els mateixos aiguamolls que protegim (contradictori, però beneïdes contradiccions aquestes). O els volcans, que superen en centenars les emissions humanes. I la més important de totes les fonts emissores de CO2, l’oceà Pacífic. D’aquest mode, l’aportació humana és pràcticament despreciable.
Per acabar, una frase que me pareix descriptiva de tot aquest espectacle que s’ha montat al voltant del clima. La frase és extreta en el context del que estem parlant:
“A no ser que anunciem desastres, ningú ens farà cas”
Trist però cert. De fet, l’alarmisme que s’ha creat al voltant d’una pujada de 0.6ºC en 100 anys no és per res coherent, si tenim en compte que per exemple 2007 va tindré una caiguda de les temperatures de 0.7 ºC en un sol any. Sols l’alarmisme, anunciant catàstrofes ha pogut fer que el circ continue.
